I am glad a few poke their head in once in a while. I can't stand other social media. It's just too toxic. At least around here, people argue but don't usually take it personally.

The problem is that we're already getting idiotic leftists starting to attack him the same way we saw the morons to the south doing with Kamala. And are still doing. When fucking idiots say in response to Trump wanting to annex gaza that "We don't know that Kamala would be any better" they're just the other side of a maga coin. No brain, no common sense, don't know anything, and arrive at easily the dumbest fucking conclusions.

I had a guy argue with me that "Carney oversaw the highest increase in home prices in canadian history". Carney over saw the slowest increase in home prices during his 5 years as BoC head since from 2000 to present.

I had a thought with the push for higher spending within NATO (which, by the way, I'm sure we'd all agree Canada needs to do a much better job on defense spending).

How much of this is them trying to appeal to their own arms industry? Most NATO countries probably buy a fuck load from the US (look no further than the F35). What if Canada/EU said, fine, but we aren't buying from you. Cancelled F35 contracts, told them to go fuck themselves, and instead bought equipment from Europe/developed internally.

Buy fighters from Sweden (especially now that they're NATO), buy tanks from Germany, buy ships from the UK, build our own ice breakers (that aren't just patrol). This isn't going to be possible across the board, but it'd sure expose pretty quick what their real motivations are.

Tanks are just deathtraps now. Artillery is useful, but fading. Drones rule the battlefield.

Ukraine just performed combined arms maneuvers in battle, just using air and ground drones instead of helos and tanks. The battlefield will be AI drones in the future.

We don't need F-35s.
