It's not you it's the board itself. It's running on code that is DECADES out of date at this point and the codex are just not being recognized.

rickc rickc:
I have to ask.........why can't I see certain posts on this forum? The post above the Kermit the frog post is totally blank. There is absolutely nothing in the box to indicate what type of post it is, whether it be a video, meme, or just a statement. Ditto with the two posts above the "what could go wrong?" post. Do I need an add on or an upgrade of some sort to see these posts?

Like Scape wrote, there is some code deep in CKA that makes the video links come out as http:// which modern browsers won't load. They will only load https://

On Firefox I can go to the 'lock' in the address bar, and if I click it I can choose 'Connection Secure' and 'Disable Security for now' and it will load the media.

I don't know if Trev is still working on a fix, but he was for a while.

P.S.: I can only get to the 'disable protection' button if the page I am on has both http and https links.

Actually, I'm in Dividend and Chinese stocks. Two of my biggest losers, Rivian and AMD, have been up this week. Pipelines and Datacenter companies for dividends are unchanged, or down slightly.

If you own Nike or VW, you are hosed.

I wonder if America is Great yet? Most of them will be living behind Wendys in a cardboard box in the coming months.

Orange Moussolini is golfing again today while Rome burns.

The speech police: Chairman Brendan Carr and the FCC’s news distortion policy

$1:
The FCC has regulatory authority over broadcasters with licenses to use the public airwaves. But Carr's two immediate predecessors—Democrat Jessica Rosenworcel and Republican Ajit Pai—both said that punishing stations based on the content of news programs would violate the First Amendment right to free speech.

Rosenworcel and Pai's agreement continued a decades-long trend of the FCC easing itself out of the news-regulation business. Two other former FCC chairs—Republican Alfred Sikes and Democrat Tom Wheeler—have urged Carr to change course.

Carr has multiple probes in progress, and his investigation into CBS over the editing of an interview with Kamala Harris has drawn condemnations from both liberal and conservative advocacy groups that describe it as a threat to the Constitutional right to free speech. One plea to drop the investigation came in a March 19 letter from conservative groups including the Center for Individual Freedom, Grover Norquist's Americans for Tax Reform, and the Taxpayers Protection Alliance.

I seem to remember a day one decree that 'free speech was back'. I guess it's only free speech they like.

Good Skeet I read today:

"At the rate we're going, there are a hell of a lot of children named things like Mason, Wainwright, Cooper, Tanner, and Miller who are gonna learn the hard way where these names come from."
