Biden was giving US equipment that was drawn down, or set to be replaced with new and scrapped. He supplied arms to Ukraine because Congress ordered it. (That is how your system works!) Congress ordered it so that Russia does not overrun Ukraine and continue on to Poland or Romania, like they did in Georgia and Chechnya.

No, he was deathly afraid of Russia 'escalating'. He only trickled enough arms to Ukraine to keep them from losing, never giving them enough to win.

But Russia could escalate all day long. Chinese officers on the battlefield. Not an escalation. North Kprean troops on the ground in occupied Ukraine, not an escalation. Russians in Europe and the Continental US actually carrying out sabotage, not an escalation.
