i just wich they would come and chill with us drinking cold beers on a patio. Maybe it's just easier to live year long there but i would need to live here if i wasn't working on some set. Even in the winter, because canada just ain't a country without the winter.

Does not surpirse me one bit.
Superstars like Mike Myers, Shania Twain have made it OK to be famous and Canadian. That sort of thing paves the way for up and comers to show the world what kind of hidden talent Canada has.
Hell....we've got the best looking women in the world and the funniest men....with that combo we're gonna take over the entertainment industy, if we haven't already.

Godz46 Godz46:

2) Avril Levine, Sum 41, Simple Plan, Nickelback, Celine Dion, Shania Twain and Shaun Paul have combined for over 25 million albums sold in the UK alone for the past 3 yars (The UK is another increadibly hard market for foreign artists to break),

I think that this should just make people from the UK feel bad, I mean don't they have trite bands of their own that play the same repeated dribble over and over again. Obviously not, hence why they have to import.

Our crappy music is better then your's, HUZZAH!

So you think a country should only listen to its own artists? So you don't want to listen to any artists besides Canadian ones? The Canadian ones are great, but people need variety man!

Oh no, your getting me all wrong. There are lots of great music out the from other countries and you are missing out if you don't check them out, but bands like Nickleback and Avril Lavgien (or however you spell her name) arn't anything that special, even to a strictly Canadian scene they are mediocer and boring.

I like good music, too bad most of the Canadian ones that made it big are just really shitty.

Seems to me that our best music never makes it out of Canada. Bands like Blue Rodeo, Sloan, Inbreds, 54/40, Rheostatics, Gandharvas, etc. Maybe they're too good for people outside of Canada to get. Not commercial enough. Our actors and actresses make it big but Canadian movies dont. I mean Canadian production, not movies made in Canada (which is about all of them).
