OM the original Dune had to be one of the worst scifi movies ever made.

Dune is notoriously hard to translate from book to screen. But the 2003 SciFy miniseries were pretty good.

Yup. Interesting story interpretation. I would expect no less from a Dune superfan like Villeneuve. Great music. Put me in the mind of other epic movies like Ben Hur or Laurence of Arabia.
And totally sets up next titles, with the introduction of Lady Fenris and her pregnancy, and the Sisterhood also testing Feyd as a possible Quizac Haddarac.
