ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog:
I liked it better than many of the ST franchises. Except for DS9 there was too much clear cut good and evil. B5 had good people doing bad things and 'bad people' doing heroic things. The ultimate good, Vorlons, were not so lily white and the ultimate 'evil', the Shadows, were not truly evil. Agents of stasis and chaos, or order and conflict were better descriptors.

It was a good series. I think the bigger problem with the whole President Clark thing. It was too...blunt, and heavy handed. If they used a more subtle approach, I think B5 would have more lasting appeal to me compared to DS9

I enjoyed how Londo and G'kar sort of switched over the series. As nasty as he got, he was still a likable character. G'kar always remained a bit of a fanatic. Bester I saw as a sort of Magneto. he had the best interests of his 'species' at heart, but didn't really give a shit about what happened to non telepathic humanity. Clark....he failed big time where Londo actually pulled it off for a short time. The Shadows used them both to try and gain ascendancy against the Vorlon.

Edward Furlong's involved? Holy shit. With him around they can do an entire season-long story arc about him trying to score some space meth from the Tholians. [drunk]

I love the attempt to save the greatness of Trek from JJ Abrams but Hollywood politics have him in the driver's seat. For everyone who bitched, moaned, and complained about Rick Berman and Brannon Braga controlling Star Trek for all those years, both for the good and for the bad they left behind them, I hope you're really fucking happy with what that fucking piece of shit Abrams has done to it.

Hey, hey. Voyager and Enterprise were both extremely mediocre, and fail in comparison to DS9, TNG, and TOS. Those two bastards brought the whole franchise down, and I'm very grateful that DS9 was spared the sheer mediocrity of their influence. They deserve all the shit they get for what they did to Star Trek.

Abrams' Trekverse, although mind numbingly stupid story wise, at least are decent action movies with a Trek paint job.

Finally, after seven years without a Star Trek movie or film someone is trying to bring it back!

I'm backing... are you?

The Next Generation was a work of art and not because of the zowie science fiction special effects. It was more of an "inner journey" with far more cerebral subject matter that its predecessor or sucessors.

I still hope Abrams is found in a seated position after a heart attack gets him while straining too hard on the toilet. That's how much I hate him and his writers for what they've done. Everyone hated The Phantom Menace? Wait for the response from what Abrams does in the end to the "revamped" Star Wars. I'm calling it now that it'll be completely loathesome shit and an even bigger slap in the face to the fans than what Episodes 1, 2, and 3 were, combined.
