glad to see lots of people are watching and liking Stargate Universe, gives me hope it won't be fucking canceled like most decent sci-fi shows are.

I read online a while back that what skews ratings are PVRs and torrents. Even when they factor in PVRs, advertisers don't care because people just fast-forward through the commercials so it's of no benefit for them.

It's primarily what's affected Lost. People PVR it so they can watch American Idol live. It hasn't lost (whee!) any viewers, just live viewers.

Also, (SPOILER ALERT) did it seem like they just dropped the answer to the Whispers like a rock from the sky?

You're right. I do not get Fox, ABC et al. so I download the shows.

About the 'spoiler', we are in the middle of the FINAL season so I guess things should begin to be clearer. I don't expect that all the mystery is going to be cleared on the final episode.
