Thought I'd share some pictures of our little sojourn to the local fleamarket. We arrived early enough that there wasn't too much of a crowd.

These guys were getting heated cups placed over medicated plasters Iit stunk big time)

Get your baggies, get your baggies......of tea

Never a shortage of teapots

This was just in a tiny corner of an area about the size of a football field. There isn't anything you can't find, including hedgehogs, snakeblood wine, tools, old LPs, a plethora of 'foods' and a variety of antiques.

Baked hedgehog, lunch of kings. Makes me feel all tingly inside (from the spines). I heard of a friend of mine from Hong Kong drinking Turtle blood but snake blood wine, I wonder what a good vintage year is?

Cool pics(except for the manboobs)
I love open markets, garage sales and flea markets.

Do you have to haggle or is there a set price?Sometimes the negotiating of a price is the best part.

The snake is that day's vintage as the bleed it into your glass. The wine is a local hooch that is 120 proof

you can haggle for somethings. If you walk away the price usually drops.

I wasn't sure if I should post the picture of the sex toy section......next to the kid's toys. Toys for the whole family.

My 4th trip into Mexico,I considered myself a seasoned veteran on haggling for blankets.
You relax on the beach sipping corons or pacifico's and let the blanket sellers walk by with their wares. You dont ever finalize a price on anything untill your last day and you dont give that info away.

When all was done the deal usually involved American money for the blankets,a pepsi for the kid doing the negotiating, and a beer for his dad who was standing behind him.

It varies quite a bit. Anywhere from 3 dollars Canadian up. The rule of thumb tends to be, the smaller the teapot the more it costs. I've seen some of the really small ones priced at NT$ 20 000(divide by 34 to find canadian price)

This stuff here is worth a pretty penny.

Thats what I thought at first but the face markings are different, plus it was very thin, like a fisher or Martin, and almost a meter in length. It has a stamp on the back of it and a number, can it be checked?
