Has anyone played this fine FPS? Santa left it for me in my stocking and so far it rocks.

looks like something fro The Ring. I'm still struggling through the Mandarin version of Diablo II: LOD. it's a bit of a bitch as I only know a few hundred characters out of about 50 000.

It is a bit of a mix of Doom, Half Life and something else I can't quite remember Lots of action, suspense, gunplay and of course, gorey violence!

Yeah it's pretty freaky. I played the demo and I was on the edge of my seat when that little girl kept popping up. Damn freaky atmosphere. The matrix aspect of it was a little weird and I felt it didn't really work well with a FPS game with the exception of Max Payne games.

Have not bothered with the "slo-mo" feature yet, still kicking ass.

What kind of AGP are you guys using in your computers? I'm thinking of upgrading to a Dual 256MB Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX, from my current one(256MB PCI Express) next week.

AGP is way better than PCI and yes defininatly upgrade. I have an ATI Radeon 9600XT which needs to be upgraded but I have no money.

I too have a radeon, but with this game in fact it is becoming real obsolete, as I have to turn down all the cool effects to run the game. And yes, I am already turning off the unnecessary stuff like Norton, msmg etc. If you are gonna upgrade in a serious way, go as much as you can afford.

FEAR is now by far one of my favorite FPS games. The only other game I've ever seen set up an atmosphere so well was System Shock 2.
BTW, running a Radeon X800GT 256Mb PCI-Express (16xAGP). Runs FEAR amazingly.

This game is a great FPS game, slightly better than Ressistance Fall of Man but short of Warhawk.
I recommend playing it with the Splitfish FragFX. Your tactical aiming is better than with dual shock.
Cheers!

Opps this is a PC title, I thought it was a PS3 thread.
Nevertheless if you are a PC style FPS gamer with a PS3, using the FragFX makes the transition easier. We all know targeting with a mouse is easier than with an anolog stick.

But I heard the PS3 version was a pile of diarrhea dogshit. Has anybody played it yet?

Guy,
I'm a PC FPS gamer vet.
Wouldn't consider console unit this controller came out.
FEAR is great on PS3, better than PC in my view.

BTW Kerfuffed
This FragFX controller has a frag button which acts as a "slow-mo" button.
For that all important headshot!
Plus you can customize your look "mouse" speed and swap buttons etc.
Fully customizable.
If you like FPS you cant go wrong with PS3 Ressistance, FEAR, Oblivion, and Warhawk (best game on the planet!)
The FragFX morphs the PC gamer comfortably over to console.
This controller was rated 9/10 on ign.
I just hope they come out with one for Xbox 360 Halo!
