I agree, we'd have New Brunswick and Maine united, everything north of the most Western tip of Lake Superior would go to the provinces north of it, Alaska would become a new province, the three territorries would be upgraded to provinces (giving us 14) and then we should purchase one of those nice warm islands far away that could be our Hawaii, like, New Caledonia. Which would make 15 provinces. Then, we could give away free land and put up posters in Europe (where there's massive unemployment) and advertise to come to Canada (to bulk up the population).

What makes you say that? I am in no means either pro-american, nor am I anti-american. But I see them as still being around (in one piece) for quite a while longer. That is unless THIS happens, in which case we're all funked anyways.

Note you will have to make deals with the neighboring states if you want to merge with them, the US federal government can’t do that.

What is the problem?
Alaska is isolated and can only be resupplied by sea and a cash starved US Gov is not goint to worry that much about someones summer hunting lodge.
BC could buy it with weed money.

If we declared war, the Alaska national guard would be able to sweep through to Ontario before they ran out of enthusiasm.
