Hey, I don't write the religion. It's fairly obvious in most all main-stream religions that marriage is not between a man and a woman. Thus their "marriage" can not be under God- the God of these religions that say marriage is between a man and a woman. How about you settle down and stop trying to taint religions? Allow homoesexuals to unite and get the same benefits under the law that married couples do- by all means let them- but to be married is just wrong. You need to realize that religions- Christianity in particular- are a fairly large presence on this planet to say the least.

I would like to ask this question. Does someone disagree that gays and lesbians can unite their destiny by a legal procedure EXACTLY SIMILAR to a civil marriage (in terms of rights and duties and ceremony and ...), BUT with stickers pasted on the word "marriage", replacing it by "civil union" or any other expression? Do you agree that everything should be exactly the same (for example, to replace every reference to marriage in the law by "marriage or civil union")? Is it only to preserve the tradition about the word "marriage" or it is that there are things that should be forbidden to gays and lesbians couples? That's the question!

If it is only a matter of word, a compromise is possible!

EITHER :
- find an other expression for "same sex marriage"
OR
- remove the word "marriage" from the law, and keep it only for religious marriage
