Why do you think Jesus tore apeart the temple in jerusalam. The jewish priests were corrupt. Churches were ment to be a place of congrgation to spread the gospel and as a place of fellowship.
Modern churches seem only to be there to fleece thier flocks of whatever they can . Shiny glass and golden temple built to honor god. Oral roberts many years ago with his cries that God is going to call me home unless you all donate a million dollars to the church. No people like you are the worst thing too ever happen to humanity, I'm not catholic, but I've been friends with catholic priests, they have never tried to convert me, I remember last year in my small town a trasient had a falling out with his girlfriend where he was staying where did he go the Catholic church, not the local anarcists, where he was given food and shelter and money for bus tickets home, not converted just ask to repay someone else with an act of kindness in the same light some day, The Vast magority of religion's on earth provide strengh in people's life no matter what the relgion is, Strength is in belief my friend.

Oilman, I don't force others to adhere to my beliefs then torture & kill them when they don't comply unlike Xtianity has. I don't tell others that if they don't follow every liitle whim of an "all-loving" god then they'll burn for eternity. Athiests didn't go to help out in tsunami-ravaged areas with the EXPRESS PURPOSE of converting some muslim unbelievers.
