Agreed, best way to deal with NK is to cut off all aid and imports. Would be alot more effective if we could get others to join in but America alone should be enough to make them re-think their nuclear policy.

Iran has Russia as an ally and many European trade partners. They won’t be touched by the USA. North Korea has the 4th largest army in the world. North Koreas only real ally is China, and incase you haven’t noticed China is extremely powerful, militarily and economically and hold a large amount of power over the region and the World. At worst the USA and its allies will not risk a war with both China and North Korea (which we would lose), at best the USA and is allies do not want to lose Chinas 2 Billion consumers.

In all honesty, I think in a war between China the US and North Koraa and all those countries, no one would win. I was watching a special on the History Channel today about the US's nuclear weapons and the subs they have. Iran is quite possibly getting nere having a nuke, and has just now obtained the capabilities to launch a nuke as far as Israel(at leat according to reports). The US's nukes on the other hand can consist of 1 missle with tons of warheads which could nuke multiple locations.

Hmm, so do you expect that if Iran DID have a "secret" nuclear program they would let the media in? There's ways of hiding things, and if they did have a program, I doubt they would show the people. The USSR did the same thing with BIO weapons. They had inspectors visit places, in which they would clean the place out before they came and move the program to some other place, or not show them certain areas. The main thing the US and the world is trying to do is stop the proliferation of weapons. It's not just an issue of a country having nukes, but the technology spreading. Some people might say that if every country had nukes the world would be a safe place, but who's to say some idiot won't obtain the technology and spread it even more like the guy in Pakistan?

I never said we should invade them. I am all for diplomacy with Iran and the European's idea of what to do, I'm just saying a country like Iran doesn't need nukes and we need to stop the proliferation of weapons. The different between Iran and the US is that it's a 3rd world nation. Look at what happened in Russia when they fell -- now we have to pay to watch their nukes. What happens if there's a revolution in Iran? Also, Iran being an enemy of the US, do you want your enemies to have nukes? I just don't think that Iran is a good country to have nukes. I feel much safer with a country like India having nukes than Iran. I think we need to stop proliferation of weapons, no spread them and say it's okay for everyone to have them. The irony of the whole situation is that the only reason the US would want to attack Iran is if they have a nuke program -- so how are nukes making the middle east peaceful and productive?

What you are saying is making sense, but you make it sound as if only the United States has enemies. Thats just not the case. Do I think that nuclear weapons should be used by every country to protect themselves, no. Its just if the United States wants to enforce a zero-nuke policy maybe they should conisder it themselves.

Their forces are over worked and stretched too thin. A large majority of the troops there are resverists who have fulfilled their commitment and are ready to go home? After seeing what went on in Iraq and what still is do you think they are going to draw a large amount of recruits? They are going to have implement the draft which will piss everyone off. That would surely cause Canada's population to go up a bit. Theres just to much stuff you "war mongerers" dont realize that goes into this stuff.
