Came across this video, and was impressed with this Soldiers ability to write, and sing this song.

The song is OK, but the photos are of American troops, not Canadians.

And his rank/unit and branch of service would have been nice to know.

Here is a video , by George Canyon, from Nova Scotia, shot at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, New Brunswick, with troops from the Battle School, who were on their "work up " to go to Afghanistan last fall ( 2006).

George Canyon has previously served as a CF Reserve Force medic, and the men with him are all friends of his, who are CF soldiers. The scenes were all shot with Department of National Defense permission and support, and the song , "I Want You To LIve " is the offcial song of the CF and it is personally endorsed by the Chief Of The Defense Staff, General Rick Hellier.
