Sounds cool DrC though peppers of any kind are not my thing... with the exception of ground black pepper for seasoning of course and occasional use of mild paprika.

For the first time in months we had a roast chicken dinner tonight. The usual home-made stuffing and mashed potatoes on the side. Only oopsie was when grocery shopping yesterday I remembered the brussel sprouts but forgot the cranberry jelly. :x Realized it when just about everything was ready and I was trying to figure out what was "missing". Doh!

It's not the heat I love about peppers, it's the taste. You have to endure the heat, but many peppers have an extremely concentrated floral or fruity taste to them. Like the Kang Starr Lemon pepper. It is said to have an incredible juicy bite, like a bell pepper, but a huge fruity smell of lemon and a floral/citrus flavour. And then you get smacked in the face with the heat. ;) It's not for everyone.

Doing the usual Day 3 of making a roast chicken. Stock is simmering away with all the usual aromatics to make for good soup later on. Smells [drool] .

Turkey has little taste, and only gets tougher as you re-heat it, and I'm tired of pretending it doesn't.

Had our yummy pork side ribs tonight with my "special" basting sauce. Mashed potato with lots of butter, sour cream and chives whipped in, and peas. Simple and delicious!

We ordered in from our favourite Chinese restaurant tonight. 3 dishes plus wonton soup and spring rolls so we are set for lunch and dinner tomorrow as well. Their prices have gone up a bit compared to a few months ago but they still pack the containers full and it's always hot and delicious.

Nibbling on a couple of peanut butter cookies! Made a batch of them earlier. The easy ones that only need PB, an egg and sugar. [drool]

I made butter tarts today. My first attempt more than a week ago did not go that well (9/12 got tossed out) so when we grocery shopped today I got what I needed, found a different recipe to try and they came out much better! I am going to tweak the ingredients a bit next time around though and darn it, will have to keep trying!

Little piece of steak - $13
Onions(we're out) - $4
HP sauce (out too) - $7
Mushrooms (size of spare tires) - $3
2 slabs potato patties (has some!) -$2
$29 cook it yourself meal for one......

Still ten bucks cheaper than ordering two dishes of the worst slop you ever tasted from local Drag'em Inn.
