The problem with the party in recent years is we are content to plod along. When this party sets out to chart new territory to improve the social condition for Canadians we by way of policy inspire, especially the young. We need to set a new course for a new generation and a leadership convention could be a good thing.

When are we as new democrats going to abandoned the mushy middle and set the agenda instead of just reacting to it? The people see us as just another so so party and we set the agenda for nearly a century prior to these unrealistic people we put in charge. We need a convention with substance and the installation of a new executive.
I was once very active and even a federal candidate some years ago and I tell you this party is behaving like deer in the headlights There are so many issues where we could inspire canadians and instead we critisize the current administration instead.

The current administration is well worth criticising, though.
Anyhow, I think the party is doing alright - maybe the Greens are a potential worry.
