raydan raydan: Thanos Thanos: Nothing ghoulish at all about that line of thinking, bro. One of my major fantasies is gathering all of these types, the wealthy and the celebs alike, in one place and dropping a nuke on them. The wealthy got their money (or their daddy did, doesn't matter) by selling stuff, so blame the people that bought what they are selling. The celebs got their money by selling whatever it is they are selling, so blame the people that bought whatever it is they are selling. blame the addict, and let the dealer off the hook? no.

As long as there's a demand, there will be a supply. During prohibition, if someone wanted to drink, they could still find alcohol, the only thing that changed, was the supplier?

Anyone ready to get down to brass tacks and discuss the real issue? First Branson. Then Bezos. And soon enough Musk doing the same thing. Followed by an endless number of the hyper-privileged and hyper-wealthy beautiful people after them, pretending they're doing it as some sort of celebrity lark when in fact it's deadly serious what they're putting into motion. They've done their own assessments of the situation as it develops. They know for a fact that the capitalism they've engaged in is going to collapse the entire world ecosystem, most likely sooner rather than later. And they're taking their first steps in putting together their escape plans. They're going to leave the bulk of humanity behind to suffer and die, while they get away with their money, their families, their servants, their thugs, and their catamites. The writing is on the wall, baybay, for anyone who is wise enough to read it. The end of life on Earth as we know it is certainly fucking nigh.

we can be comforted in knowing that their john galt mission to the stars off our dead backs will be lonely, uncomfortable, doomed, and maybe they'll even have to work a bit before they too cease to be

More like orbital or Lunar habitats. They already have enough money to build both with their own resources, not to mention the flood of taxpayer funds they'll always get for their schemes with the more-than-willing assistance of their bought-off politicians. They can set up a fairly cozy existence for themselves off-Earth and wait for the great die-off planetside to occur, then return when it's all said and done to "rebuild" in their own Pharoah-like image without the pesky population around to annoy them anymore.

Much like Amazon Primetime

Question... If you were the captain of the last fleet of space going ships to leave Earth, which groups of people would you NOT take.
I'll start...
Politicians of any stripe.

Rats always get aboard ship somehow, regardless of all attempts to prevent it.
