Electricity prices in France turn negative as renewable energy floods the grid

I am so glad Smith decided to 'pause' renewable development. The furnace in my home kicked on a few times yesterday (in June!!). I can't wait to see the power bill.

BC will kick in up to $11,000 to convert to heat pumps.
Looks like the makers responded. They're now the price of small cars.

Heat pumps have the advantage of being 100% efficient or better, and with a dual stage model you can heat a home in -45 temps using solar power.

There is no downside.

In the South, sea level rise accelerates at some of the most extreme rates on Earth

$1:
Across the American South, tides are rising at accelerating rates that are among the most extreme on Earth, constituting a surge that has startled scientists such as Jeff Chanton, professor in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science at Florida State University.

“It’s pretty shocking,” he said. “You would think it would increase gradually, it would be a gradual thing. But this is like a major shift.”

Worldwide sea levels have climbed since 1900 by some 1.5 millimeters a year, a pace that is unprecedented in at least 3,000 years and generally attributable to melting ice sheets and glaciers and also the expansion of the oceans as their temperatures warm. Since the middle of the 20th century the rate has gained speed, exceeding 3 millimeters a year since 1992.

It's not climate change, it's all those space vehicles we've sent to the Moon over the years thereby increasing it's mass, decreasing the mass of the Earth and causing the Moon's gravitational effect on the tides to become so much stronger.

Evac notice on the other side of the lake. That's a whole 5km away, no worries.
Friend from Williams Lake she got a notice. It 'only' burned a few businesses right downtown.
Sister warned me to take another route if I cam to visit this weekend. Trans Canada Hwy closed due to smoke.
It's all copasetic.

So they're wondering if the pine beetle kill had anything to do with the Jasper fire.
You know, the beetle outbreak that happened when suddenly there wasn't 3 weeks of extreme cold in the winter to kill them off anymore.

No more winter cold, trees die, firestorms and heat domes in the summer. Hmmm could climate change even be real?

And the feds reduced funding to Parks Canada so the fuel the dead trees represent couldn't be removed. They also reduced funding for controlled burns to reduce ground fuel.

But at least Smith wasn't responsible for that.
