Being stuck in the land of "Baseball Is Our National Pass-time", I am going to be subject to another live MLB game tonight...and during the hockey play-offs!

Don't get me wrong, I try to enjoy it (12 pack). But holy crap...is it ever a slow and boring sport! I'm going to a Pirates game tonight with my father in law. A few nights ago, the Pirates went 18 innings!

I've been to MLB games in the past. I went to an Expos game in the 80's, a Twins game in MN during the early 90's,a Jay's game in the mid-90's and a Devel Ray's game in FL. The scenario will be the same tonight...becuase I have too.

I welcome all sympathies and advice on how to get though this!

Do like Stan's dad on South Park: get drunk and get in fights. Then as the cops drag you away keep yelling "I thought this was America!"

Seriously though, bring a book, or chat up the person next to you (who is not your father-in-law).

God I can't stand to watch MLB, it was always fun to play but not to watch. Same as the NBA. Hockey is the only sport that's fun to watch.

Chripes - I'm in in 2 hours for this game. I bought my case of beer and some ice for my cooler. Maybe it'll dull the pain during the ride down.
