This, to me would seem to be an opinion question, so I answered how I honestly felt.

I was gonna put down Reggie Cleveland, but I figured most people never would have heard of him. and besides he's another every fourth day player.

Yeah, it has to be Larry Walker and I'm not just saying that because he is from my home town, but that helps.

When Larry Walker gets into the Hall of Fame (which I don't think he will), he'll be on equal ground with Fergie. Until then, it's Jenkins...hands down. Eric Gagne gets an honourable mention for about 3 seasons of brilliance. Too bad he couldn't maintain that level or he'd be in this discussion.

Years and years ago at a family reunion we were playing ball at the Jenkins diamond in Chatham. The old man was pitching and running his mouth until I smacked it over the fence in centre field. Best hit I ever made. Mom said the look on Dad's face was priceless.

Jason Bay, Justin Morneau to name a few. Still currently playing and they are very impressive.

Hmmm, baseball in India, what a concept, a billion or so new fans. All they'd have to do is displace cricket, crooked or whatever as the national sport.

But now that we've opened up this topic again I'd like to change my choice from Larry Walker to Jason Bey, based soley on the amount of money he makes, which seems to be the criteria these days when measuring success.

There is only one Canadian in the Hall. Walker was good but I don't think he's Hall of Fame material. Fergie Jenkins is.
