Although I'm all for executing child predators* , I dunno about this. He's 19, for all we know had had old pictures of his ex, who was underage at the time the pictures were taken. If he was just downloading pictures of eight year olds in sex acts, yeah, that's a disgusting sentence.

*This statement is not to be taken literally

"thousands of pictures downloaded from the internet" while he was not allowed to have ANY electronic device that could connect to the internet...

Sorry, can't agree with ya here ;-)

I can't help but notice the rather atrocious spelling in the article. :? No editor to check it out?

$1:
A 19-year-old Castlegar man on probation for possession of child pronography will soon be facing new charges, according to Castlegar RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew.

"On April 20, RCMP were conducting a check on this man (after) he was convicted of possessing child pornography in May 2010 ... and was sent4enced to 14 days in jail and three years probation, which included numerous conditions," she said. "One of these conditions stated that he was not to have a computer or any electronic device in his home which would allow him access to the Internet, and that he be supervised while accessing the Internet.

"While checking this male to ensure he was complying with his court conditions, police found in his possession a device on which he could access the Internet. A second device was also located which contained thousands fo imag3es which had been downloaded from the Internet.

Anybody else notice that?

Yes. But hey, we're in the sticks, and no one can spell here.

14 days in jail, 3 years probation. For a repeat offence, this is shocking and disgusting. You can get up to a year for possession for fuck sake

It looks like this is not over.

..............

Mathew said the man was arrested, and is being held in custody until his first court appearance in Nelson on April 27.

Held in custody till then, some hope in that.

What does pronography mean? :?:

It's Kootenay slang. Never know how old the kids are that are reading the paper...

You need to read between the lines. 14 days in jail isn't much, but 14 days in genpop for a pedo... might be a roundabout way of giving the death sentence.

Since he was arrested again, I hope his sentence is considerably more than the 14 days and 3 years probation given for his first crime.

So given our judicial systems propensity for severly punishing repeat offenders I fully expect him to get at most 28 Days and 6 years probation for his latest foray into pedophilia.

Fuck should have been taken out behind the barn when they caught him the second time and had the Chinese Judicial System Guidelines applied.

Judge should throw the max and give him federal time.
