oddly the only time I was ever robbed I had a bigger knife on me then the robber and could have easily pulled it out to stop the whole thing.

Except that is against the law here in Canada. Instead I had to yell until a bunch of people came out of their houses while praying that I could keep enough distance if the guy decided I was worth stabbing.

Personally it pisses me off I'm not allowed to carry a small distance self defense tool like pepper spray.

How do figure it's against the law to defend yourself if you believe you are under threat of physical harm?
