We'll borrow Richard Hammond from the BBC to smooth things over with the Mexicans...

Good for Canada! Why should the f*cking Mexicans have the right to colonize your country, too?

ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog: just to play Devil's advocate for a minute.......The states of California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, as well as parts of Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma and Kansas were Spanish and colonized by Spain and then annexed by the US Fixed that for you. In California the leading advocate for California to become part of the USA was Mexican-appointed Governor Mariano Vallejo, a Californio of Spanish descent who highly resented the corrupt and predatory Mexicans as illegal occupiers. Vallejo maintained his own militia at Sonoma not to resist the Americans or the Russians (who were just 80 miles away at Fort Ross) but to resist the Mexican Army when they came north once per year to rape, pillage, plunder, and collect taxes from the Californios. The Mexicans were predating on the Californios and the resistance to Mexican corruption has been passed down in popular culture via the 'Legend of Zorro' who was a masked Californio who fought the Mexicans.

The Mexicans claimed Kansas and Oklahoma and they also claimed as far north as Vancouver, BC. Some of them still do and some years back I posted an article on CKA written by one of your 'loyal' citizens of Mexican birth who was making the case that lower BC was properly part of Mexico and should be retaken as part of the Reconquista.

I can claim Greenland in the name of Canada, but it won't mean jack. Neither do the delusions of some random Mexican.

Neither do the delusions of some random Mexican. Plural. A lot of them believe in this stuff and they support the so-called Aztlan movement. You might want to read up on that (on your own so no accuses me of making you biased) just so you know their BS when you see it.

Seems like the Mexican version of Manifest Destiny. If the Americans didn't manage it I don't expect a group of deluded Mexicans to pull it off.
