REally? So you think we should go to war over Ukraine? Ukraine sending soldiers to be killed without fighting back is a good idea, and doesn't just make them look even more powerless?

Seeing as how there is all this godwinning going on, would it have been easier to beat germany if the war started in march of 1938.

Looks like Ukraine is finally doing something: $1: KRAMATORSK, Ukraine - In the first Ukrainian military action against a pro-Russian uprising in the east, special forces on Tuesday recaptured a small airport that had been occupied by militiamen, the government said. Ukraine's acting president, Oleksandr Turchynov, had earlier announced an "anti-terrorist operation" against the insurgents who have seized control of numerous buildings in the east of the country. So PF, should they not have done this, used their minds instead, because this might start a war?

a minute ago you defended them doing nothing. You're all over the map here. Maybe it's a reflection of where all of Ukraine is at - the cloud of unknowing.

A few posts ago you said the soldiers weren't acting because they were facing a superior force and "using their minds." Now you support them acting. Maybe this is a language problem, but make up your mind.

Sadly, yes, I do. You do not own territory you do not defend. I do not own my house unless I am prepared to defend it. Ukraine does not own Crimea because they chose not to defend it. The same will go for their Eastern cities. We all see Putin on the border ready to order forces to 'steamroller' everything west to the Dniper river. The only thing that will stop him is Russian soldiers in body bags. And it will encourage Putin further into territories that also have 'ethnic Russians' in it, like Poland or Estonia. The Ukraine can retreat to the West half of the country, or they can stand and fight. And that means a body count. We can help them, or we can let Putin defy international laws and do as he pleases. It was, after all, the same justification we used for everything from Croatia to Syria.

DrCaleb DrCaleb: We all see Putin on the border ready to order forces to 'steamroller' everything west to the Polish border. Pardon my edit. I don't think Putin and the Russian propaganda machine can stop at 'fighting the Nazis' at the Dneiper. He's spun up his people and they'll insist on seeing it through. Besides, once Putin starts a full-on invasion then a war will be on and he'll end up wanting to avenge the inevitable deaths of Russian soldiers by ending Ukraine as an independent country.

Israel stood up to overwhelming odds....western equipped, led and trained Arab armies holding superior positions and numbers. And before anyone chimes in and shits the line, 'but the Americans were supporting them with weapons', read a fucking history book.
