commanderkai commanderkai: My God, people bitch about the government controlling their lives with legislation, and then BOOM some left wing whiners start crying when some politician is fucking a hot girl with a questionable background. Yes, you're right. When the Minister of Defense starts is sleeping with a woman with ties to organized crime then yes, any reasonable person would and should question the judgement of the minister - and the PM who gave him the job.

As opposed to the Liberals screwing us all over: $1: Gagliano linked to mafia, Tories charge OLIVER MOORE
Globe and Mail Update
November 18, 2004 at 3:56 PM EDT
The allegation that former cabinet minister Alfonso Gagliano was a member of the mafia is “highly serious” and should be treated with caution, Prime Minister Paul Martin said Thursday.
This new attack on Mr. Gagliano stems from a report in the New York Daily News. It was unequivocally rejected by Mr. Gagliano's lawyer, who told Canadian Press that his client “denies everything.”
The story was picked up by Conservatives in the House of Commons, where they enjoy parliamentary privilege and cannot be sued for slander.
Conservative Leader Stephen Harper led the charge.
“The [FBI] report claims that in the 1990s, he was a made member of the Brooklyn-based Bonanno crime family. My question is simple. Since Mr. Gagliano was in cabinet and ambassador during this period, was the government aware of this information? When did it become aware of these allegations?”
Gee. I don't recall an investgation over this... Save the "rightious indignation" for a real scandal.

Not to mention the latest Islamic terrorist posterboy; $1: An Ottawa software developer, Mr. Khawaja was arrested March 29, 2004, at the Department of Foreign Affairs, where he worked on contract. He was the first person charged with terrorism under the Criminal Code, which was amended as part of the Anti-terrorism Act passed by Parliament soon after the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/sto ... d4124d660dPossible, radical islamic terrorist who works at Department of Foreign Affairs? That can't be a security breach, can it?

Personally, I'd prefer a layout in Penthouse than an 'auto-biography'.

You ask whatever women you want to bang her former criminal history? Holy shit. "Yeah hi, you're hot and all but...are you connected to a gang or something?" Wow you must not date, or get laid. Or anything. Sure, once again he made a mistake. I won't deny that, but then what? Oh the boss should be questioned about his employee's girlfriends? Wow. There's something that should raise alarms for all Canadians who own businesses or hire people

A book for her is pretentious. A badly written screenplay that's sleazy enough to get her an audition on the casting couch is more likely. The funny bit is that the onky folks who'd do this are the CBC and their all gay. (not that there's anything wrong with that..) After all, who's going to do it except for the CBC.. (and I guess lonley conservatives..) No one in the US or the rest of the world would even care.
On a related topic of Canadian secrets, I saw a political cartoon that was funney as hell. The line at the bottom was "protecting Canadian secrets" and it showed the PM standing, looking out the window, thinking "the world must never know that Canadian bacon is just ham."

$1: Dear Penthouse Forum,
A few weeks ago my boyfriend Max invited me to his new apartment in Ottawa. He recently got a promotion and wanted to show me his new stereo. Well, we were having some wine and listening to some music and things started to get hot and heavy. Suddenly Max interrupted things and said he had to go out for a few minutes. He said he had forgotten something but wouldn't tell me what. I didn't like all the mystery so I pinched his nipples (Max really likes that) until he admitted that he had forgotten to pick up Viagra at the Jean Coutu. He said he didn't really need it - it was just that his new boss was such a prick. Max said his boss wouldn't let him make any decisions on anything important and he had been really stressed at work lately. Anyway, he quickly left and while he was gone a phone call came in and a young-sounding girl left a message. Chalice! I got angry and started to wonder what else he might be hiding from me. I decided to have a look in his brief case to see what might be there. Apparently, Max isn't too bright because he left it unlocked. I didn't find anything from any other girls - I was so relieved - but I did find a bunch of papers all marked classified or top secret! It was sooo cool to be reading these secret military documents. I had no idea that Canada spent so much money on American military stuff!
Anyway, Max came back and we got things going again. About 45 minutes later the Viagra must have kicked in because Max started to complain of a terrible headache! I was so pissed off! I asked him if his doctor had prescribed Viagra for him and he admitted that since he had moved to Ottawa he hadn't been able to find a new family doctor. Max did confess that he had bought the Viagra from a security guard that works at Max's office building.
So, long story short, that night I broke things off with Max and good thing too! A couple of weeks later I met an old girl friend of his at the tattoo parlour - the whole time she bitched about how long it took to get rid of the crabs!
Sincerely,
Julie in Montreal
