A Texas man was airlifted to hospital to get his jaw wired shut after he tried to shoot an armadillo and a bullet rebounded off the animal's hard shell, striking the man in the face.
You guys didn't really think this was the first guy to shoot an armadillo, did you?
Try a YouTube search on 'shooting armadillo'. Prepare to be amazed.
Here, I'll start you off.
Now, do I believe a bullet, even from a 22 is going to bounce directly, like a reflection from a mirror, backwards off an armadillo like that to hit somebody in the face?
I know the CBC would never lie, of course, however...
"BeaverFever" said Yeah it's all a cbc left wing fake news conspiracy.
BTW if you pay attention you'll see the story came from Thomson Reuters
Oh, well it must be true then. Why should I believe common sense, the nature of reality and my lying eyes if it's a story from Reuters retold by the CBC.
I did notice whoever it is, he doesn't want to give you the "victim's" name. So it's a story Reuters said some Texas Sheriff told them about some anonymous guy, is it? Oh well...that makes all the difference then.

Actually, I killed one once with a VW Beetle. But this isn't a story about shooting armadillo! It's a story about idiots with guns. After you do your "shooting small armoured animal "search, try one entitled "idiots with guns."
Bingo. You just hit on the real reason Reuters and the CBC want to push this bogus claptrap story about a bullet reflecting off an armadillo like a reflection in a mirror.
It's not about armadillos. It's about hating/fearing guns.
LOL. A quick look up told me this happened 2 years ago. For reasons unknown the story is circulating again. Guess there's not enough "real news" going around.
Even funnier... we even had a thread about it on here.

NOooo...it's about idiots with guns. AND perhaps about limiting access of said idiots to guns. By the way, armadillos are a major pest AND a carrier of leprosy. So when you head to Texas for your annual armadillo hunt, forgo this years BBQ.

Must be a Russian armadillo.
I think it must have ricocheted off a rock that was beside or under the critter. Regardless, it's a freak accident.
