The display by members of the Canadian Armed Forces was not appropriate and should never have happened, said a spokesman.

This is nothing more than the result of Senior NCO's and Officers purposely ignoring the Manual of Drill and Ceremonial so they can do what ever the fuck they want.

Call it misguided if you want but back in my day if you ignored a military manual to "do your thing", you'd be standing tall before the man and it wouldn't be for him to tell you how disappointed he was in your latest attempt at being a drill god.

But a question. The combat patrol stance not withstanding what the fuck is with all the different cap badges, especially if they're all supposed to be from the same regiment? Or is it now optional to pick your own favourite regimental accoutrements and wear them when being paraded?
