    I always love happy endings.

A bigger fine would have made it even better though.

Take the thing away forever. The driver obviously has no idea how to drive it, and can learn to take the bus.

I can't say much as I've exceeded the speed limit by more than that... in vehicles that had to work a lot harder to get there.

Wide open arrow straight prairie roads with nobody else around.

I've gone much faster in a car. But never on public roads! Too fricken dangerous. Public roads are not built for speed.

When you buy cars like that, they should automatically give you 5 speeding tickets before you leave the lot.

Yep I went faster in a Mazda Protege many years ago. Tennessee Highway 4am 4 other cars going the same speed. Very spread out. Lasted about 30 minutes till the one in the lead pulled off the HWY. We all slowed down and in about 20 minutes I was the only one still on the HWY. only going about 15 over the speed limit by then.

The deaths of Paul Walker and Roger Roads in the burning wreckage of the Porsche Carrera GT should be a lesson “Speed Kills”.

My '69 Impala would do 120mph. That's about 200km/h for all you kids.

My 3000GT would top that without breaking a sweat.

I'm not as young or stupid any more, but I still get up to 140 when I'm in a hurry and on the prairies.

I imagine he was in a much more populated area. On a road that isn't as wide open.

I've had my Focus ST up to 260, when I ran out of track. ;) A guy at the track with a highly modified 'Cobb' ST can close in on 300, but then has to go out for fuel. 8)

Yup. I googled it. Lots of entries on to the freeway, where a merging vehicle has visibility to see cars coming at 90km/h, but would get slammed by one doing 160.
