We've never said it didn't. They are just a lot less openly racist here.

No but I did notice some people here that are so quick to slam the US over racism and what ever stayed very quiet about the Quebec idiot yelling at the Muslim lady and her daughter. Now this guy getting ticketed for being black..
I'm sure people will find a way to blame the USA for it.

Because we aren't gong on about it on CKA doesn't mean the press up here isn't.
But it's kind of hard not to look at the racism down south, when it tends to end up in gunshots and a body count.

Yet the way some talk on here Canada is a bastion of tolerance and civility. Nothing like this ever happens. Well except to First Nation people. Kind of gets swept under the rug it seems to me. Till the rug explodes.
Not blaming CKA posters at all, most of the topics get a good deal of attention. Just some people who are quick to jump on American racism stay very quiet when it comes to Canadian racism.
Was there really racial profiling?
Perhaps we have an inherent bias between between the victims and perpetrators.
Thing is, in this story, seems we only have this guy's story.
Was there really racial profiling?
From his side of the story it sure does sound like it. Yet like you said we have only his side.

Was there really racial profiling?
Why did the cops pull over and ask him whos' SUV it was?
Why were the cops even in the area? I never see cops when I'm cleaning my vehicle.
What story do you think he told his family and friends?
Perhaps it's not racial. It's not like the SDQ has ever been accused of impropriety.
But when your job is to judge people and make decisions based on that, everything you do will may be scrutinized and criticized.
Also notice that if you do these jobs, you may be bribed... and yes, I was offered bribes a few times.
