Trump is a part of it, but the economy has a trend of 10 years between recessions, and it's been 11 years since the 2008 recession. Trump isn't helping the situation, and may be worsening it by removing all the Obama era regulations designed to prevent it and his trade war with China.
But other countries are seeing problems, like Germany as well.
