German car-making giant Daimler will be forced to pay a fine of €870m ($957m) for breaking diesel emissions regulations, German prosecutors said on Tuesday.

Germany has regulations on water too, so it doesn't kill people. What Bart means is that since water can kill people, big industry should be given a free pass when they kill people... I don't agree with his logic, I'm just reporting how his twisted mind works.

I know. But I fight emotion with logic.
Germany still put limits on Diesel emissions, and many companies lied and cheated in order to subvert those limits. A fine is warranted, and big fine is appropriate. But the fine doesn't change that tens of thousands of people die annually because of those particulates, and Daimler contributed to the premature death of many people because of their lies.
Water killing people doesn't change Daimler's decisions.

Good. Fines aren't good enough though. Diesel particulates kill people.
