The only good that's come from this is that it's brought into the light the use of tasers when unnecessary (although I agree with the RCMP's use of the taser against Dziekansky). But I think all this media attention and the inadvertent deaths of a few people have brought people to hate the devices, thinking of them as killing machines, when the people should never think so and the tasers should never do so. If someone dies, it's either a freak accident (and I group the zapping of a person with unknown health conditions in here) or because of what happens directly after the zapping.
