He's embraced a former Liberal Cabinet minister as his foreign policy guru. He consulted with Liberal nemesis Stphane Dion before making his move public, promising further work-together chats in the future.

Bullshit. This is just his shrewdest move yet. If the plan works out, he gets to say "Look at what I accomplished by being open and non-partisan." If it goes to hell he can blame it on a Liberal. If he gets flak for pulling out early, he can deflect it onto the Liberals. He gets all the credit from this sycophantic writer for compromising, and he'll lap it up as long as he can get it, but you can bet your bottom dollar he'll spread the blame around if it goes south.

There you go, calling the media biased again.

Media bias, thy name is National Post. The entire of that "newspaper" is to be biased to the right.

Have you read it lately? They are less than supportive of Harper and the CPC.

If that's true, this guy certainly bucks the trend. This "article" is little more than textual fellatio of our PM.

What's wrong Hurley? Getting a little nervous that some of the media fell out of the CBC's "Get Harper" Lockstep?

There's always nice and fair CBC for you:

Regardless of how likely it is that Harper is only being "humble" in order to look good, I am very, very pleased by his attitude as of lately and absolutely love to see a government that accepts its share of the blame for mistakes and is ready to act like a minority government always should (after all, isn't that what Canada ultimately ended up voting for 2 years a few days ago?).

I'm definitely no fan of the CPC (although I do tend to side with them concerning Afghanistan, making it one of the few issues where I tend to agree with right-wingers), but this is the kind of attitude that I just love to see from politicians. Kudos to Harper, for while that may be a smoke show... he still deserves them.

See Kenmore, you just wasted 3 minutes of your life preaching to the choir. To an extent at least.
