OTTAWA - Hundreds of Korean War veterans were on hand to lay wreaths at the National War Memorial to mark the 55th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice on Sunday.
A war that showed the courage and valour of the real hero's in life, the Canadian soldier. The second Battalion PPCLI were the only Non American Regiment to win an American Citation award. My Warrant Officer that took us through battle school in Wainwright Alta had been there, W.O. Schulz. At nearly 50 in 1982 he could outlast half the platoon on a long run with backpacks. Awesome testament to the Canadian Soldier a great warrior. Bravo Zulu to him and all the remaining Korean War Vets!
One of the last, and possibly only successful UN missions.
Bravo Zulu to him and all the remaining Korean War Vets!
