SUSSEX, N.B.A provincial court judge reserved decision yesterday in the trial of a New Brunswick man accused of threatening the principal of a school where the daily singing of "O Canada" had been stopped.
This guy seems to have really had the beats on for his kid's principal, over a song. He even made verbal threats. I think that goes just a tad beyond reasonable discourse.
Mr Howland at best is missing the point of the Anthem. The Anthem and all it stands for, among other things, is freedom from terroistic threats but that is giving him far too much credit.
The comment "if your secretary wasn't out there I'd drag you by your collar into the parking lot and beat you to your senses. This is a great way to demonstrate Canadian democracy to school children.
Bradley Howland needs to spend some time in jail to reflect on what it means not only to be a Canadian but what it means to be a civilized individual.
