The Taliban will attack an Afghan village set up in the heart of Washington courtesy of the Canadian Forces, who will send in a medic in a dramatic effort to save a civilian crippled by the explosion.
Is Daddy watching me??? Look America, I shoot guns and kill taliban for you... do you like me now?!
I'd say it's far from lame. I think enlightening and educating the public on either side of the border about exactly what the forces do in Afghanistan can only be a good thing.
No one there is going to care, all they are going to see are a few explosions some people running around. At first they will think it will be cool, but then as soon as they see that it is supposed to be Canadians they will lose interest.
Its like if the Polish military came to Ottawa and did the same thing.
If you want to educate Americans about Canadians in Afghanistan you would have to make a series of big budget movies. Then market the hell out of the movies. Then get the US military admit that they desperately needed Canada over the last 7 years, and if they didnt have us Afghanistan would be unsalvageable.

I see your point. Maybe it's just me. I like big bangs no matter what the source.

Oh really? So desperately trying to make average Americans care about something they couldnt give a shit about is a good thing? How exactly? So we can get a gold stars for our helmets? Sorry its its beyond pathetic... If we're really in afghanistan because we feel its for the safety of Canada then we should do it and stfu and stop trying to impress the cool kids. Its time Canada grew up and acted like its own country.

But seriously why is it important? Whats this obsession Canadians have with impressing Americans...
Yea, if only I could properly spell "intelligent."
This smells like nothing but bad plan dreamed up by some over-enthusiastic officer. Most people would quickly find our training exercises quite boring. And whoever said we need to be in movies to be acknowledge is right. Thing is, we do either need to be neccisary to the yanks, major supporters of them, teamed with them, or make such a major military deal on our own to be worth the focus of a movie. Afghanistan could be possible considering we were the American's relief in what has traditionally been the heartland of the Taliban.
Anyone remember the Devil's brigade, and how in the movie about it we were shown to be the proper and proffessional military while the yanks were displayed (factually) by their own movie-machine as the ruffuge of American society.
And whoever said we need to be in movies to be acknowledge is right.
Correct. And yet who says we need to be acknowledged?
Sheesh if anything a movie needs to be made for Canadians to see themselves so they can stop being such co dependent stalkers looking for approval. I wonder if the 24 hrs a day of wall to wall US tv and movies where we watch Americans do stuff has anything to do with this. Hmmm....
Is Daddy watching me??? Look America, I shoot guns and kill taliban for you... do you like me now?!
Wow...Couldnt be more lame.

Gee, here's a crazy idea. How about educating CANADIANS about what the Canadian Forces are doing in Afghanistan.
Most intelligetn post of the week.

Thank you, every once in a while I make sense
