BEIJING � A municipal government in northeastern China has allocated 7 million yuan ($1 million) to improve conditions at a local zoo after the recent deaths of 11 rare Siberian tigers and other animals, state media said Sunday.

Disgusting and shameful. Feeding chicken bones to tigers? That is beyond cruelty. "Zoos" like this should not be permitted to operate.
The article states there are 300 tigers left in the wild vs. 5,000 held in captivity. Hmmmmm... let's see, which are worst off?
