Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is taking its first legal step to stop months of protests and rallies outside Walmart stores, targeting the union that it says is behind such actions
I'd love to be the store manager of a Wal-Mart where non-union employees waged a "strike". Nothing says "fun" like being unemployed right before Christmas.

And people wonder why labour and management can't see eye to eye...
No, it isn't. They're hourly employees walking out mid-shift.

Managers don't typically take too kindly to workers walking out mid-shift.

Workers don't take too kindly to being moved to 'part time' so they don't get benefits, but still having to work 'full time' hours.

Nope, they sure don't. I dunno how it works in the US or in various US states but in Ontario, even if yer scheduled to work 39 hours per week, yer still considered to be only "part time".

Wal-Mart considers workers full-time at 34 hours per week compared to many companies here in Canada that are 40 or 44 hours.
You'd get off on firing people, eh?
I think people fire themselves when they walk out of the workplace during their shift. They make the choice.
What you do inside your skull doesn't qualify as thinking.
Didn't take long for that sense of self-importance to come busting out.
You find it acceptable that people are set to walk out of their jobs to "strike"?

Well, isn't that a Christmas-y thought.
It's their right as workers.
No, it isn't.

Or not being able to make a union because the company will just close down the store on you. Walmart brought this on itself.
