Last month the Republicans took heat from the left for 'letting' the temporary extension of unemployment benefits expire...but notice how the left dropped the matter within 48 hours.
That's because when those people lost their extended benefits they got dropped from the U3 unemployment figures which made 'unemployment' look better. And the left is spinning this figure to make Obama and the Democrats look better.
All it means is that only 6.7% of the workforce is on unemployment. It absolutely does NOT mean that all of these people miraculously found jobs the day after their unemployment benefits expired.

Eliminating the jobs of about a million federal, state, and local government workers in the name of austerity since 2008 probably didn't help very much either with the current toll. Go figure.
Those people should just go back to school and get educated in something more useful than being a bureaucrat... or they could go work at McDonalds or Walmart. I'm sure if they just put their noses to the grindstone and apply themselves the managers at those places will quickly reward their hard work and initiative with a living wage.

They'd get better pay in the private force then government. Beside's working for the Government is privilege not a right nor guarantee. There jobs are at the pleasure of the Citizen's who elect the Fed.
