Horwath supports this and Orange is dead to me.
That's not a budget, that's an absolute disaster.
Where to begin ?
good idea about the mandatory pension.
The infrastructure spending, don't know the case in Ontario, but we could certainly use it in BC. And it will act as a stimulus.

Yes and a good chunk based on Federal contributions which may or may not happen. Which at that time they can renege on the promise. Frankly I'm shocked at the spending plans, but in the end it will end up in Toronto and GTA.
Higher taxes and still running 12.5 billion in the hole?

According to her twitter feed, she is not.

Bring on the election!
Ontario, spending their way to third world status. So glad I'm leaving.
I get the feeling you won't be the only one.

I'm doing my part. In the last year and a half I've convinced almost a dozen friends to pack up and leave this province. In fact, my retired parents are in the process of looking for a new place somewhere "out west".

I like how the story keeps using the word Canadian when it means Ontarian. Guess Ontario still sees itself as the only part of Canada that matters.
Freudian slip. Toronto is the centre of the universe don't cha know.
They've always been good at coming up with ways to get money out of our pockets.
The income tax hike will only affect two per cent of , according to the budget, and will go towards funding a robust infrastructure investment plan and a job strategy for the entire province.
But even the average will see some tax increases.
I get that Ontario thinks it's the centre of the universe, but how does this affect Canadians? It's a provincial budget...

That money stays in your pocket and gets doubled by your employer. You just can't spend it till you're old enough to appreciate it. Good idea. Should be country wide, use the power of CPP to leverage this money into mo money.
