Curling federation studying 'Frankenbrooms', says decision coming soon

The World Curling Federation says it is analyzing the impact of controversial broom heads threatening to fundamentally change the sport. The organization expects to take a firm position on them by Nov. 8.

When you have the best curlers in the world refusing to use it there's a problem with the broom but, if the World Curling Federation doesn't rule against it's use you can be sure that some teams will use it in competition to give themselves an unfair advantage.

It sure will be nice though to see a team from Mongolia win a world curling championship.
