    You will see that often in cases like this, ie honor killings. The perps(s) are arrested, even tried, but the sentence is very lenient if one is handed down at all. So they have laws against this sort of shit, but very weak ones. I think they also often have Islamic courts, ie not justice as we would understand it.

    Could be, possibly, perhaps and maybe! Why not wait to judge the judgement?

    Maybe it will be different because the vic is male, as opposed to the usual. Doubt if there's any reform movement bubbling away in SA.
