Must really suck when the only topic you can find to complain about is one with such complex issues interwoven into it that no one really completely understands the complete picture. The Liberals are dead in the water if Harper drops an environmental bomb shell that addresses the issue better than ...

I find it easy to accept that Jack Layton is desperately scared of the Liberal Party. After all, Liberals are picking up opinion in the polls at NDP cost. I understand that Layton is frantic to borrow Dion's green cape. I think it is stupid, because green is for intelligent people and most of the vo...

lily lily:
I have a man named Volpe?

Now, now, Lily!

You can't pretend, just because he lost so badly!

We all know you were an ardent Volpe supporter.

I'm beginning to see why Iggy lost. ;)

A bit late, don't you think, Lily?

If you had been quicker, you would have seen that your man Volpe was dead on arrival. :D

Rae to prepare Policy Platform In another master move, Ignatieff has placed Rae in the toast queue as toast number three, by putting him in charge of preparing the policy platform. Just before the third vote, when Rae was knocked out, a person with Rae badges all over his shirt was frantically dist...

Kennedy afraid to coordinate election preparedness. Poor Gerard Kennedy. He thought he could let the fox into the hen house and watch the fun! But Iggy has him cornered. Kennedy has been told to be in charge of election preparedness, which means that if Dion is toast, then Kennedy is toast number t...

Martha to consult grass roots on policy. Martha Hall Findlay, who drove around the country in her red bus, will hit the road again, this time, the gas will be paid for by the Liberal Party, and she will consult the grass roots about policy. In the process, she will educate herself and her faction a...

Ignatieff agrees to be Deputy Leader By allowing himself to be designated as deputy leader, Ignatieff has finally defused a crisis which was building last week. It started with Dion thinking his own dreams of defeating Stephen Dion are a reality. Without any preparedness for elections, he appeared ...

Or fate. We mustn't forget fate. ;) Sure, we must not forget fate, but I think the prospects for the Liberal Party are the same whether Dion won or Kennedy. We must remember that Kennedy and Bob Rae were very cowardly. Both were not MP's but refused to stand for election in the by - elections that ...

lily lily:
What's really ironic is that despite it all, Dion won!
Yes, as I said, it is ironic. Kennedy was unlucky to have bad advisers in his camp, and he was twice unlucky that Dion had Mark Marissen to wrongly advise him!

You are right, it was pure irony.

Reporting in the 'National Post' on 9th December, Julie Smyth writes: The thin line between success and failure: Mark Marissen, Mr. Dion's campaign manager acknowledged this week he had estimated Mr. Dion would be 50 votes behind Gerard Kennedy on the first ballot. If that had happened, Mr. Dion wou...

Let him talk to the only person that both cares about his views and thinks he is brillant. HIMSELF!

Bluesbud, I'm flattered, but really, why do you think I am brilliant?

Hindsight is always 20/20, eh? Kennedy should have waited another ballot. Supposedly a few Kennedy supporters had a soft spot for Martha and decided to vote for her on the first ballot, enough for Dion to sneak ahead of Kennedy. Had it been otherwise, Kennedy might well have won the leadership of t...
