We have 10 in Ontario since they brought in the February “Family Day” holiday a few years back. We've had Family Day in Alberta for more than 20 years. Good you guys decided to catch up! Remembrance Day has also been a Stat since forever. We got Family Day in 2008, another McGuinty legacy. I rememb... |

Charity is not a substitute for publicly-funded services, never has been, never will be. What about the filthy filthy rich, like Gates and Buffet setting up charities that perform amazing things in places like Africa that can't publicly fund those things? I’ve always mistrusted people who tout their own personal charity. There are so many established charities out there already, why not just give to them instead of setting up your own under your personal control? It just wastes money on redundant administration and inefficiencies. Plus there are huge... |

We have 10 in Ontario since they brought in the February “Family Day” holiday a few years back. This also includes the August 1 civic holiday which most employers around the GTA offer as a paid day but is not mandatory. The Civic Holiday is not a statutory holiday. Therefore, we have nine, not ten.... |

I think the reason for that is some people are afraid it will just be another day off where people go skiing or what have you. The thought is schools and workplaces typically have a moment of silence or some other organized activity to observe the occasion that would otherwise be ignored. Our equiva... |

I have never been to a gender reveal party nor know anyone who has had one. Why they have become such a "thing" is beyond me... I have seen them mostly on "Funniest Home Video" shows and usually it's a balloon filled with confetti or something like that that goes sideways... |

Dragontail69 Dragontail69: Good - screw them and their fake land claims. They never claimed land, they all battled and fought for it over the years. They lost. Get over it, it is all Canada now.
You’re trying to compensate for your lack of knowledge with an overabundance of anger, racism and ignorance. But it’s not working. |

The suspense is killing me. Universal daycare? UBI? 40 years of austerity: literally my entire life spent watching the 1% get richer and richer as they whine and rage about their minor inconveniences and lecture condescendingly to working class people on the need for workers to sacrifice more and mo... |
