A lot of airshows in Canada have been scrubbed due to a lack of corporate sponsorship. More may be scrubbed due to the economy. Perhaps the Snowbirds should be retired this year and a plan started now to replace them with new planes by 2015.

NDP Leader Jack Layton said on Question Period yesterday that it was the Liberal government that clawed back EI benefits in an effort to cut costs during the mid-1990s. "Even during good times, the Liberals wouldn't come back and support strengthening the EI system," Mr. Layton said. Well...

What I have mostly in mind, is the idea of a small basement operation ( ie very low manufacturing volume) that actually does reasonably well at competing with the open markets without having to outsource their work to a chinese sweatshop. An affordable 3D printer would be a valuable feature of the ...

The product to be manufactured is the most important thing for any success. A new innovative/inventive product that the public wants to buy. If you take, for example, the Crock shoes that were all the rage. Simple to manufacture and they caught on with the public. They were originally made in Canada...

BREAKING NEWS:

Coach Carbo is fired. The players succeeded.

I can see this backfiring horribly with the Habs sliding even further! Instead of dumping Guy maybe they should have unloaded some underacheiving, overpaid Russian "players".

Say again?

Go Leafs!

Read Lily's comment.

Who are you going to leave behind if there are 3 to save but you can only get 2 to safety? Or will you let them all perish because you can't make the decision?

I knew it, 10 years for first degree murder, and only 6 of that will be in jail. More needs to be done to punish these pukes. Ummm, she hasn't been sentenced yet. As a young offender, M.T. faces a maximum sentence of 10 years — six in jail and four under supervision in the community. Thats the wors...

Not really that surprising. Interesting to see that a company like Mercedes has picked up it's reliability greatly in a short amount of time, compared to the likes of GM.

That's because Daimler raped Chrysler to invest in Mercedes.

Workers paid into EI, it's an insurance. That's not a bailout. Like Proc you fail to see the big picture. It's not about bailing out GM. They just assemble the final product. GM does not mine the iron ore and other metals, the don't refine the ores, they don't make the steel, they don't make the ru...

Hmmm.

Did all the people in the oil industry in Alberta take a 70% pay cut when the price per barrel dropped from $140 to $40?

Is the government bailing out the oil patch?

Yes, the government is paying EI to all the people that are getting laid of there.

Back to the topic,I think the brothers and sisters of CAW should take a 50% paycut effective immediately. To show their serious about keeping the job's here. Or,let the company go bankrupt and save us taxpayers a wad of cash. Hmmm. Did all the people in the oil industry in Alberta take a 70% pay cu...
