True, but most Boomers don't care because they'll be dead by then, and future generations can pay the taxes for that, not them. |

The UCP just announced the changes to renewable energy in Alberta, and they've made huge chunks of land off-limits to renewable energy, and imposed all sorts of extra red tape for proponents to jump through. Renewed path forward for renewable energy Some of these changes make some sense, but the pol... |

'It hasn't delivered': The spectacular failure of self-checkout technology The frustration mounts while a dozen darkened, roped-off and cashier-less tills sit in the background. That's my biggest frustration with self-checkouts - stores put in 10 or 20 tills, yet only have a handful up and running.... |

Meanwhile, water shortages and an early fire season are imminent, and a $5B would take care of many of the thousands of homeless people. Good thing she paused renewable energy developments! There are already 57 fires burning in Alberta (as of this post), with 12 of them having started in 2024: http... |

It might hit -50 overnight tonight, and the province just issued an emergency alert to conserve power. Tonight is going to be . |

I don't have cable, and so have no access to live sports, and only see clips of games on YouTube or social media, so I haven't seen anything yet (I only saw a fraction of one WJ game though too). My prediction is that if there is no hitting and no fighting like in international play, it will likely ... |

I had to scrape the windows before driving this morning. Wut? Wait a few days, it's going to turn into real winter, with cold temps and maybe some snow too. Tonight Mainly cloudy. 30 percent chance of flurries. Fog patches developing overnight. Wind up to 15 km/h. Low minus 10. Wind chill near minu... |
