Zipperfish Zipperfish: I can't blame these poor souls. It's literally Squid Games. If they can get one foot into Europe or America, that's it, they've won. That simple.
Yep, a lot of people in North America (not sure about Europe) just don't realize just how good we have it. |

Public urged to stop tampering with firefighting equipment Forrest Tower, an Information officer with the BCWS, said an unusual amount of equipment has gone missing in these communities over Saturday and Sunday, causing crews to have to set up gear multiple times. WTF is wrong with people? |

This. And the fact that Zuckerberg just vacuums everything up in terms of personal information. Couldn't bring myself to sign up to Threads. The reality is that if you've got a FB or Insta profile, there is already a Threads page set aside for you. I never signedup, yet I've had people tell me that... |

DrCaleb DrCaleb: I am never going to vote for anyone named Trudeau. But it will definitely hurt them with the undecided.
Well, unless you move to Quebec, that's going to be next to impossible. |

20,000 people traveling down one highway with few gas stations along the way. Going to be a rough evac. I wish them luck and hope that it’s purely precautionary. Yep, I bet this is even worse than the Fort Mac evac in 2016, which also evacuated tens of thousands of people down a single highway. The... |

Canada in the year 2060 This is disturbing, but one everyone should read. I likely won't be alive in 2060, but I certainly worry for my kids who will be. If your kids are middle-class Canadians, they'll be fine. I don't know about that - Calgary just issued water restrictions due to low water level... |

Just think some guy actually walked into CBS in 1970 and said "Hear me out, it's a comedy set in a Nazi PoW camp, right?" Well, Hogan's Heroes was set in a PoW camp, not a death camp. And the use of comedy for that scenario had already been precedented by comedy/drama films like Stalag 13... |

Let's hope people don't split the urban vote and he runs up the middle into a minority government. |

And we've also done absolutely fuck all to exploit the opportunity presented by Russian gas flow to Europe being cut off, probably permanently, by the economic blowback caused by the Ukraine war. Canada over the last several decades (at least) is nothing but blown opportunity after blown opportunit... |

CKA's response? - "ACAB! Defund now! We should copy San Francisco and it's successfully law & order strategy!". I often agree with you, but please link to some posts that say that, because from my recollection, most people here think we still need cops, but that they shouldn't be sent... |

Youth crime has always been a problem, do you even remember the 80s and 90s? I'm not saying this to defend the BS or the right or the left, but lots of young people are stupid little assholes, and the current political divide has little to do with it.
