I just don't get our justice system anymore..... I could understand if he was shot in the back running away but come on! 20ft or less is not a long distance. Everyone thinks knife versus gun, but, you can close that distance very fast.

It is all BS. All cars, and this was a car, are required, by law, to have brakes that can over power the engine. All you need to do is stand on the brakes.
