Now that the match-ups are official it's time to make predictions...

[hockey] Round 1...

Washington Capitals vs NY Rangers
Philadeliphia Flyers vs Buffalo Sabres
Boston Bruins vs Montreal Canadiens
Pittsburgh Penguins vs Tampa Bay Lightning

Vancouver Canucks vs Chicago Black Hawks
San Jose Sharks vs LA Kings
Detroit Red Wings vs Phoenix Coyotes
Anaheim Ducks vs Nashville Predators

Pick a winner and in how many games... Let's see who can predict closest...

Round 1 starts Wednesday so get your predictions in before then!

Baa, anyone can make predictions about who'll win. The tough part is spicing it up with how, who and what'll happen.

East:

Caps in 5 - Easy win, Lundquist pulls groing and quits hockey to become ballerina
Sabres in 6 - Dennis' little brother Ryan stands on his head and posts a .50 GAV.
Habs in 7 - Ryan White accidentdly pushes Zedano Chara's head through the Glass at the Bell Center in game 6 momentum changing moment.
Lightning in 6 - No Crosby, no way. Crosby last seen in stands fighting with Tampa Fans


West:

Hawks in 7 - Luongo traded for letting in soft game 7 winning goal then burned in effigy by angry Canuck fans.
Sharks in 6 - Joe Thornton finally punches out Danny Heatly, Heatly recovers, becomes consumate team player.
Wings in 5 - Jimmy Howard reveals in game 6 he's really a Black Guy from Detroit who's been channeling Terry Sawchuck.
Ducks in 6 - Ducks loose first game then Corey Perry flattens Jordan Tooto in game two and the momentum changes, ducks win


So, now that I've done my best psychic impression, I'll sit back and wait to see how soon I can start working on the Quatrains of Freakinoldguy for future generations to worry over. :D
