I think Bart's challenge is largely irrelevant (as is his wont). In term's of comparisons, every U.S. President from McKinley onto Bush II (with the possible exception of Carter during the first half his of term) has read from the same script. To make distinction between Clinton and Bush is like arg... |

"If this really is World War III and bin Laden and Huessin are really Hitler and they're facists would we really be fighting the war on the way we are fighting it, on the cheap, not getting the homefront involved, not having a draft if it really was WW III wouldn't you think you'd have to draf... |

Storm was the one with a really limited vocal range. Her versions of "We Are The Champions" and "Cryin" sounded flat to my ears. She seemed to have problems with breath control too (which, ironically, worked in her favour on "Changes" because it gave her voice some vib... |

I like Storm Large but I knew they weren't going to pick a girl. That's the second Canadian to win one of these. PDT_Armataz_01_37 [B-o] I thought she was pretty sweet too. I thought she started out strong, but fell short during the last few weeks of her stay. I must say... her final performance of... |

Instead of producing a groundswell of support from within the Islamic world, continuing wanton violence orchestrated by al-Qa'ida has resulted in the opposite: growing discomfort about the association between Islam and violence I do believe that a number of more rational muslims are looking at what... |

So, Bart,... since you pasted this article without commenting on it, I'd like to ask: did you put it here only to spur debate or because you actually believe in (or agree with) the contents and conclusion of the article? I posted it so that an American response to the CBC poll could be heard. I als... |

Something else I noticed after reading the article more carefully, is that it only says the Quebec and Ontario position. Since whne is that what all Canadians think? Take A) the most anti-american place in the Canada, and B) Ontario with the likes of miller and Mcsquinty in power, of course you are... |

Are Canadians Stupid ? National Review ^ | 09/12/2006 | Tom Nichols Are Canadians Stupid? They're Not getting it… By Tom Nichols I don’t know quite how to ask this question, but I suspect that a lot of Americans are about to, so I’ll put it as directly as I can: Are Canadians stupid? A recent poll ... |

No, but you can dismiss them when they're irrational. There was a poll last week if Americans thought the war in Iraq is going well. Now think about it, what the hell does any American know about whether a war is going well or not? You need access to reports, data, mission reports, et c. All that p... |

The implication of the program (as I understand it) is that the only acceptable images of that day are those of the firemen and policemen who did their duty and often paid for it with their lives. They were the unintended victims, but, their actions, and their deaths, were heroic. Somehow, the inten... |

I would say that 'opinion' polls are good (but not great) INDICATORS of the sentiments of those who are polled, but lousy (or at least inconsistent) PREDICTORS of how the majority will act. If a plebiscite were announced on the continuance of our occupation of Afghanistan, an 'opinion' poll might fi... |

The truth of the matter is why should we care what the NDP, and thier followers think. We know who our Canadian friends are and they happen to be in power cause the majority of people voted conservative. You are clearly delusional if you think that 35% of those who bothered to vote represent any fo... |
